Yay! Island Sex!

Lost 3x6 "I do"

Sawyer totally tapped that ass, while Jack watched.

The post-coital section of it, anyway.

Kate's flashback was all right I suppose - neither here or there, much like her many other flashbacks and her personality. But we do learn that she was married to that Firefly guy and left him(well, coz you know, she's a fugitive and all), which was how she got on the fateful flight. That's one of the things I like finding out in the flashbacks, so keep 'em coming. And we do learn that Kate has a penchant for good guys. (Read: Not Sawyer.) And likes making tacos for her man. And has pretty hair when it's not full of island gunk.

But the real star this week was Jack. Jack, who's no longer the nervous scared doctor he was in the elusive story he told to Kate but one who's able to use his surgical prowess as a bargaining chip while not nervous at all about Ben's nicked kidney thingy. Being a prisoner does wonders to your personality. That and watching Kate with Sawyer on the monitor. But who cares, you really should go for Juliet, who's my favorite new Other. Who cares if she's probably evil? But anyhoo, it'll be a long wait before we find out what happens in that surgery room. But I do like this new Jack.

Too bad he's the only one who doesn't know they're on Alcatraz and not the main island. Where's Kate going to run to? (Maybe they have some special secret bridge/tunnel though) Did Jack mean both Sawyer and Kate, or just Kate when he told them to run? Must have been the sex. Kate, with her "I can't leave you here" bit, contradicts her "I love you" in the cage with Sawyer. Given the flashback, it's obvious she really loves Jack, but yet likes Sawyer enough (or at least appreciate the love Sawyer has for her - btw, Sawyer being all vulnerable was totally adorable - to have pity sex with the man. Oh, Kate.

Hello Alex, who is possibly the kid of Ben and that frenchwoman whose name I've forgotten. If that's the case, it's possibly that Ben (and the Others)also came from the ship that landed on the island. Refresh my memory, it was around 16 years ago no? Is that enough time for them to build that whole Wisteria Lane setup? Anyhoo, I'm guessing that french woman's going to turn up next year. Who knows, maybe she'll even save them from the Others.

Oh, the Others also mentioned the fact that Shepard (Jack) wasn't on the list. So it seems that Ben probably added him to the list for his tumor, and wasn't really part of the plan. In that case, the others are also picking out the murderers like the island. Which is interesting.

For a midseason finale, I'm a bit annoyed we didn't get to see more of the other losties. What gives? You're ending it on a love triangle I don't really care about? Man.

Anyhoo, I'm all out for now. I have lots of time (til Feb, 2007. Holy Crap!)until the next episode anyway to really look into it. See ya later, Lost!

Adios, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje.

Lost 3x5 "The Cost of Living"

Damn. That tree around the Pearl Station is disturbingly gorgeous.

I'm really annoyed. Eko was never my favorite character, but I really don't see why he had to die now, of all times. I don't get why his character is suddenly crazy guilt ridden after he tried to 'save' the hatch (and the button). Given his guilt was from his life before the island, I don't see why this time he couldn't defeat the monster like he did last season. (BTW, that monster cannot look any lamer. Giant cartoon black smoke arms? Please. I liked it better when we don't see the island black smoke monster entirely. Keep it a mystery, yo.) He was already building the church, so why the sudden guilt? How did keeping faith in the button/island make him lose faith in himself? Mirror that with Locke, who's regained his faith in himself and the island after his whole 'I don't wanna press the button, I hate you island' and 'whoops, I guess I was wrong. I love you island' thing. Seems a bit unfair, that's all.

Given both Eko and Ana Lucia committed murder in their pre-island days, I'm guessing Libby probably had a murder in her past as well. That could be the reason why the island hates them so much. Or maybe it was really just all about the DUIs in Hawaii. But in any case, we should probably suspect something sinister in Bernard's past as well. The tailies can now be known as 'island monster no likey murderers'. In which case, why wasn't Kate or Sawyer in the tail section? Is that why the Others singled them out, because the island made a mistake thinking they were good people? Hmm. Or that they weren't in the tail section because the murders they committed in the past were ACCIDENTAL ones (I thinK?) unlike Ana Lucia's and Eko's?

Which leaves Jack and the now creepy Juliet. It's a bold move, that tape thing. What a waste of paper though. They really do have all kinds of resources. But now I do not want Jack to trust her. Not that Ben's not creepy as hell, but Juliet's catching up in the 'I'm creepy and bad and I'm going to kil you' race.  Of course, she's way easier on the eye. You would want to tap that.

What you wouldn't want to tap is Ben. Who's dying of a tumor in his spine. He should consider moving back to the main island then. I've heard it's all the rage among the sick. Just go ask Locke and Rose.

Anyhoo, didn't see why I have to see more of Eko's history just to have him killed off. I know, he's a bad man of circumstance. Blah blah blah. I'm surprised he used his last breath to warn them - 'You're Next'. If I were him, I would have gone postal on him - "Fuck you Locke, you and your stupid island. Why didn't you press that damn button? Now look what you've done, you stupid stupid man. No more black men on the island. What's up with that?" and so on.

I'm still annoyed that he died. Couldn't it have been Charlie?

Waiting for LOST 3x5

Argh!

I've recently heard through the grapevine that someone is going to DIE in this episode (3x5, The Cost of Living), and I'm totally dying to know who it is. So far I've heard it's NOT an other, NOT a female, and given it'll be an Eko-centric episode, very possibly Eko. Why are they killing him? It's like a massacre for those tailies, no? Libby's dead, Ana Lucia's dead, and now Eko? The only person left from the tail section I actually remember the name of is Bernard. (Oh, and Cindy/Sandy or someone who was taken when the tailies were trekking to the losties last year. But who cares, I'm not counting the ones kidnapped by the others/dead. Anyhoo.) What was the point of the tailies if all the writers are doing is killing them off? I do not see the point. Ooooh, it better not be Eko. I'll be really upset. Which means it probably is Eko. Frak.
