Scrubs 6x6 "My Musical"

Ah, the Avenue Q musical episode. A must see for those who love the show.

I love it when they do awesome stuff like this on Scrubs. How amazing to hear your favorite characters sing so damn well for an episode?

Of course, I’ve already got all the damn songs in my iPod. Guy Love is definitely my favorite, after Everything comes down to Poo.

Sounds intriguing, doesn’t it?

Gotta tell you, after the first two episodes, I pretty much wrote this show off. It was just not that funny. So I stopped watching the show. But since I did have the next 2 episodes all recorded, I decided to watch them before deleting them. And oh no, I think I laughed a little.

While the show is still uneven – like when you have huge chunk of sections where it’s not funny – I’m starting to see bits in it that are.

What doesn't work for me: I like Tina Fey and all, but she’s my least favorite part so far –her scenes tend to drag a bit, and some of her storylines so far (in one episode Liz's story featured a complete copy of Miranda choking in her new apartment from Sex and the City bit and a complete copy of Miranda being set up by her boss with a female date bit) are simply regurgitations of stories of well, Miranda from Sex and the City (I totally share Betty’s sentiment on that show. We do miss you, even though it was kind of crap at the end!).

But I totally am looking forward to seeing future episodes with those cute bits from Alec Baldwin and/or Tracy Morgan. So hopefully they can get their act together and make it work!

P.S. Alec Baldwin's character watching Friends: "Wait don't tell me what happens to Ross and Rachel..."

P.P.S. Loved the ‘Pos-Mens’ of Snapple, especially the fun facts…

The Office 3x8

I’m loving Ed Helms AKA Andy Bernard. He’s the perfect foil to Dwight, who I’ve never liked, especially compared to his UKcounterpart Gareth. Dwight's too cartoonish and over the top for his character to be convincing in any way. But now with Bernard, the interactions between the two are making the Dwight scenes way more bearable. And hey, actually kinda funny! The merger is the best thing I could think of to bring Jim back – as well as the rest of the Stamford bunch –who are much needed to bring some oomph into this uneven season so far. I’m not going to participate in the Jim/Karen vs. Jim/Pam debate, since I’d actually root for both, but I’m loving that Jim’s getting some love either way. Oh and the best most-excruciating-to-watch-perfect-Office-moment scene? When Michael and Dwight “help” to hoist the larger guy onto the tables.

P.S. Hey, Jim AKA John Krasinski makes it as one of the 15 sexiest men list on People magazine. Woo-hoo!

P.P.S, Watch out for next week’s ep – written by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant.
